Doug's Tavern Kan Jam Playoffs

All good things must come to an end and the Doug's Tavern Kan Jam League is officially over for this year. Regular season champs Nate Pierce and James Putman went through the playoffs without losing a series to sweep the Kan Jam titles. They beat Team Ream (Casey Bill + Darren Weber) in the championship game to be crowned Champions. Team Doug's Tavern ( Matt McLear + Logan Ladouceur ) took home 3rd place.

Casey Jones had an instant winner during playoff play and Matt Wood had 2.

Doug's Tavern Kan Jam Tournament

Thanks for all of the team's for coming out last night for the First Annual Kan Jam Tournament. The league was able to raise $120. This is great because it will allow us to make the league fee that much cheaper. Hope you had as much fun as we did.

We had 12 team's of all ages and genders participate. We had 3 4 team group's with each team playing 6 league games. The top 8 team's overall advanced into the best 2 out of 3 playoff.
The tournament champs are James Putman and Nate Pierce who dominated through league play and got through some tough tests to be crowned champs.  They defeated Casey Bill and Darren Weber.

For all those interested the league will be started in about 2 weeks. Spread the word and get your teams signed up. It will be a Sunday league going for a couple of months and there will be some team byes so you won't have to play every single Sunday. If interested contact Matt McLear or Logan.

Tournament Runner Up's

Here are a couple pictures of some of the action and apparently the security for the event.

Welcome to the MattMcLear.com official Kan Jam page. We spent this summer playing league play at the McNeil campground and had a great turn out. Unfortunately we were unable to get the playoff's in. So I'm pretty sure Team McLawton is your McNeil Campground Kan Jam Champs. It was the first year we did it so expect things to be bigger and better this coming summer.

Also we had a couple of tournaments. We had a July 4th Kan Jam tourney that had a great turnout and was won by Team McLittle. We also had a tournament at de casa de Me for a little house warming party. Of course no party can be complete without Kan Jam. That tournament was won by Team McFly. That trophy was unfortunately not able to stay together but was brought in pieces to Albany and might have made it's way back. We will see next year at the tourney. We also had a tourney November 14th at Doug's Tavern. We had 12 strong team enter and had a great time and raised money for our league. That tourney was won by Nate Pierce and James Putman.

We will be hosting a Kan Jam league at Doug's Tavern starting November 28th. The entry fee for each team is $50. The league will run every Sunday at Doug's Tavern. It will consist of 12 league weeks and a playoff week ending the first weekend in March. The rest of the details are still being worked out but will be posted soon. If you are interested in joining the tournament contact myself or Logan at Doug's 315-344-7355 to register. We will be taking registration's for the league that night as well.  Check out the other official Doug's Tavern Kan Jam league page here.

If you can't commit to every Sunday don't let that stop you. We will have a sub list. That way if you are available and needed we can give you a call to come play. It will only cost a couple bucks for the sub's to play. Also if your entered in the league and can't make a week you can either bring a substitute partner, or we can call you one off the sub list.

I will be keeping standings, stats, schedule, and probably some pictures of the Doug's Tavern league here, so be sure to check it outt.

If you would like to partake and want to get a hold of me either email  me at (30mclear44@gmail.com) , hit me up on Facebook, or call me (315-605-8350), or leave a message below.

Thanks and hope to see you Sunday.

First Annual Matt McLear.com Kan Jam Tourney

The first annual mattmclear.com Kan Jam Tourney saw 10 team's fight for the trophy but of course there could only be one winner. There were several good games and some not so good games. We started play around 2:30 and ended around 8:30. Playing conditions were tough with British Open like winds.

Team McLawton for a second straight tourney won league play and was awarded the #1 seed. They started off by barely beating a tough team of Dana and Shelby. They then played arch-rival Team McLittle the July 4th champs. It was a best of 3 series and came down to game 3. With a lot of smack talking, some dirty moves and a lot mind games, maybe even the force was used,  Team McLawton got by to make it into the championship to play a pesky and tough McFly team. McFly took game 1 and 2 making it to tough for McLawton to come back in the best of 5 series. They took game three but fell short in game 4. So this year and the first ever mattmclear.com Kan Jam champs are Team McFly. The trophy is reportedly on it's way in a plane to Albany. Hopefully it will make it's way back here at some point for the next tourney.   Thanks for everyone who participated and helped make this tourney a successful and good time.

July 4th McNeil Camp Kan Jam Tourney

The first annual Kan Jam tourney was held at McNeil Camp home of the McNeil Camp League and saw 8 team's battle all day resulting in only one champ who was worthy enough to win the Thirsty Cup. The tourney started with a league play format. Every team played every other team to fill the playoff. Team McLawton cruised through league play with a 6-0 record taking the #1 seed into the playoffs. Team Brockblackski earned a 4-2 league record claiming the #2 spot. Team Chucknon and Team McLittle were both 3-3 and the tie break was head to head matchup which was won by Team Mclittle in an epic 2 OT battle.  Team captain Matt Tynon stepped up in round one in playoffs. Down 14-7 in game 1 he made an instant win taking a 1 game lead over #1 and heavily favored team McLawton. Game 2 he came out firing as well. Back and forth action came to an 18-18 tie. Team McLawton couldn't capatilize on a couple of chances and with Team Chucknon having the hammer hit the three for the win advancing to the Championship game and a chance to take home The Thirsty Cup. On the other field Team Blackbrocski struggled and fell in defeat two games to none to the #3 seed Team McLittle. The Championship game which was a best of 5 series looked to be a blow out early. Team Chucknon couldn't find it's groove and Team McLittle jumped out to a 2-0 series lead. Not giving up though Team Chucknon came back with a nice game 3 win to make it 2-1. Down big in game 4 Team Chucknon looked to be out. Then the stormed back to make it a 20-20 game. Not being able to capatilze Team McLittle finished off what they started and brought hope the Thirsty Cup. All in all it was a great day finished off by a great bonfire and some fireworks. For more information on how to join the next tourney get in contact with me.

Team Brock + Mott entered the league and put up a nice two win day one win featured by a Mott instant game winner. Team McLawton also but up a couple more wins featured with Matt McLear's 2 slot instant game winners upping his total to 4 for the weekend.  There was also a couple of games later on that the scores are not in yet and will be posted as soon as there in. Reportedly Jimmy Lawton had a turkey of slot through's.

Today was another beautiful day on the St. Lawrence and a sunset you can't buy. It also was our largest turnout of the year. We saw a couple of game winners and a good run by team McLawton. There was good food, good music, good beer, and good people. If you were not there you really missed out. For more information on the next event if you are interested drop me a line.

Today was a nice over cast day and the day after Jim and Jannel's wedding reception. There was two kegs and a lot of canned beer. Team Black Brock Ski went on a HUGE run pulling off a 10-1 record as of 5 before I had to bounce. There was only two games going on for a little bit. Brock ended Team McLawton's day with an instant win through the top. All in all another fine day.

Had another great day of Kan Jam with a familiar face adding some win's to their total and also a new team that went on a nice run. Team McLawton put together a nice 5-1 day. Team Blackbrockski struggled a litle bit today and only pulled off 1 win. A new team to the league Team McSkee put together a 10-1 day climbing to #3 on the team list. Sunday July 4th will be a full day of Kan Jam at McNeil's camp so if you are around stop in.
